Shawn Finley is a senior illustrator, designer and painter with over 25 years of experience. Influenced by comic books, animation and pop art, Shawn’s work is a stylistic fusion of all of the above, with a specialty in book illustration and packaging design. He is proud to have recently worked with IKEA on their Lattjo book series, and with DreamWorks Press on their Baby Po, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon picture books.
Shawn began his professional career by illustrating for underground and independent periodicals while studying fine arts in college, and followed up with his first picture book The Boo Baby Girl Meets the Ghost of Mable’s Gable in1992. Since then, he has gone on to establish his own illustration and design studio, producing work for numerous ad agencies, publishers, game developers, and manufacturers. He also creates graphic novels and paints in his spare time, most recently exhibiting his Villains series at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago.
